Let the wild rumpus start!

Just got in from seeing the massively anticipated Where The Wild Things Are and I have to say, if you’ve been looking forward to this film as much as I have…….there’s no way you’ll be dissapointed. It really is a beautiful piece of work. Obviously at no point did I doubt Spike Jonze’s ability to deliver, but there is always the fear. When you finally take your seat about to watch a film that you’ve been ranting at people about for the past year, that hang on, maybe it won’t be as good as I’ve imagined it will be?? I must admit I did get the fear tonight when I sat down in the (empty) Wood green cineworld….(we weren’t really expecting the residents of Wood Green to flock to such a highly acclaimed indie epic to be fair) that maybe it wouldn’t be as spectacular as we all hoped. The fear soon went as it became pretty obviously early on that this was going to be amazing.

So anyway, to clarify it’s wonderful. Prepare for some tears too, it’s a sad ‘un. Karen O’s soundtrack creates the perfect backdrop and Max Records (so happy that his real name is Max too) is a total star. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more him.

Pretty damn near perfect Spike. Thanks.
